I've been here 3 times now. 2 poutines the 1st two times and just tried a the Double Banquet Smash Burger at lunch today. All I can say is wow. The food is incredible, price is excellent and the staff is friendly and atmosphere is great. Outstanding all around. Well Done Big D's Staff

KILLER SMASH BURGERS, reminds me of five guys burgers which rank at the top for me! Definitely top restaurant quality, I’d pick the banquet smash over the jalapeño one. It was definitely more juicy, maybe a tad undercooked for my liking so I just took out the pieces that freaked me to eat but that’s not to say it was unsafe to eat.. I wasn’t really sure! Perhaps, if you like your burger with no red at all, let them know, they may cook them at a certain temperature to keep the juices in!! So good anyway!! Got the regular poutine too, it was massive, no way one person would eat it! It was layered with lots of generous amounts of cheese curds and gravy, a bit too much cheese but who’s complaining on that!!? If you like your poutine with a ratio like that, this is your place! Definitely would come back for the burger. Fair price too.

Big D's is absolutely worth a trip if you're anywhere near the area, including in St Johns just for the day! The Dilly Bean (Pickle Lovers) poutine, was straight up amazing! It sounds over-the-top but the combo of the vinegar and acidity of the pickles and dill sauce perfectly balances the gravy and richness of the poutine. The best flavor profile of any poutine I've had! The classic smash burger was also just a straight up great burger with plenty of seasoning and an awesome bun. Plus they had plenty of Halloween decorations which is always a big win in my book!

The portion of food here is very generous. Especially for brisket, it is well-cooked and very flavorful. This place is worth my coming again. In Saint John and even throughout the entire NB province, this restaurant is the best poutine place I have ever encountered.

This is probably the best poutine I've ever had in my life!! After a long day of traveling Big D's poutine is the place to stop for a cheap, filling meals ( a regular could feed two ). I highly recommend the Chicken bacon ranch poutine, it will leave your mouth watering for more. The staff was fantastic and super friendly.

Food was good, paid $45 for two pulled pork poutines though. Wait time was crazy, had a full room of 20 people all waiting for their orders for a solid 20 - 30 mins.

Had the BEST burger ever today. The Onionator Smash Burger was absolutely amazing. Also had the Newfie fries (stuffing and gravy on fries). Fantastic prices for the amount of food you get!! Can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu!! Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
